Engagement Spotlight: Datacenter Migration

A utility client was behind on timelines and execution for migrating a secondary / DR datacenter into a larger datacenter environment. The utility engaged a Windval team to bring both technical and program leadership skills to re-align the phase one infrastructure build-out and then develop a phase two move / migration plan for physical assets, virtual servers, cabinets, and circuits, along with the decommissioning of other assets. The overall effort was driven by environmental (power and cooling) issues as well as a desire to reduce power consumption of the datacenter and seek other optimization opportunities.
